A National Panhellenic Conference Award winning Panhellenic Association

WELCOME TO NC STATE PANHELLENIC ASSOCIATION!

HI EVERYONE,

Welcome to NC State’s Panhellenic Community, my name is Amanda Campos and it is an honor to serve as your Panhellenic President this year. I am thrilled to witness the growth, sisterhood, and courage that define the NC State Panhellenic Community. Our community is composed of 11 National Panhellenic Conference Sororities and 2 Associate Member Chapters; all committed to academic excellence, philanthropic pursuits, personal growth, and lifelong friendships. With over 1,700 passionate and empowered women, our community is a tapestry of unique stories, backgrounds, and experiences. This is what makes our sisterhood stronger, more resilient, and capable of achieving remarkable things. Every chapter, every individual with their own unique story, a unique purpose–which makes it all worthwhile for you to grow and learn every day.

Coming to NC State 600 miles away from home I was utterly terrified. In the first two weeks, I felt as if I was in a place where maybe I did not belong. However, it was a conversation with two positive and empathetic women in the Panhellenic community that changed my perspective on NC State. From there, I decided to sign up for formal recruitment in hopes of feeling like I belonged; and ever since I’ve found a sense of belonging here. Through this community, I have evolved and grown into a confident, dependable, courageous individual. A place where I feel appreciated and valued in being authentically me.

College is an utterly frightening new chapter of your life, meeting new people is frightening, and stepping out of your comfort zone is frightening, no matter who you are. Some are more excited or confident than others, but at the bottom of it all, there is a slight feeling of uncertainty. This is why I would be lying if I said all my days in college have been amazing. In this new chapter of your life, you are going to experience so many things, some great, some horrible. But in the midst of it all, you will either learn something new or grow to know more about yourself. Embrace the challenges, hardships, and changes. They are gifts that force us to outgrow circumstances and our thoughts. Don’t ignore or fight them, instead find a new way to stand.

This fall I encourage you to be vulnerable and open to the incredible impact that our Panhellenic community can make on your life. College is filled with an abundance of opportunities and experiences, but it is most important to find the people you wish to share those moments with, the good and the bad. So I urge you to follow us on our social media, scroll through our website, and reach out to learn more about our community!

I am beyond excited to have you start this new chapter of your life at NC State and look forward to meeting you in August! But until then, remember that your existence is important and always be unapologetically yourself.

With love,

Amanda Campos

Panhellenic President
