A MESSAGE FROM OUR DIRECTOR OF SORORITY RECRUITMENT COUNSELORS, JILLIAN VILLANTI

“Hi y’all! Welcome to the Sorority Recruitment Counselor (SRC) Page. My name is Jillian Villanti and I am the Director of Sorority Recruitment Counselors on Panhellenic for Fall 2024 formal recruitment. I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity and honored to serve you all in this position. I am beyond excited to introduce y’all to our outstanding group of 52 Panhellenic woman who will serve as your 2024 SRCs. These women are the embodiment of what it means to be a Panhellenic woman through their leadership, compassion, integrity, trustworthiness, and so many other traits. I personally understand how recruitment can be filled with mixed emotions of anticipation, excitement, and nervousness. Your SRC is there to be a guiding and uplifting friend through the recruitment process ensuring you make the most out of it. My main piece of advice is to just enjoy every minute of recruitment as it goes by in the blink of an eye. WHAT IS A SORORITY RECRUITMENT COUNSELOR?

A Sorority Recruitment Counselor, or a SRC, is a collegiate sorority member who disaffiliates from their individual chapter to help PNMs with an unbiased perspective through recruitment. An SRC strives to foster a positive Panhellenic spirit before and after Recruitment, is well educated about all chapters on campus, and accepts this unique responsibility to help others find their true fit within the various chapters of the Panhellenic community.

She is…

  • a positive represetation of NC State Fratneity & Sorority Life (FSL) Community

  • confident and a fluent communication

  • someone who strives to foster a postibie Panhellenic sorority before and after Recruitment

  • well educated about all chapters on campus

  • someone who values and respects diversity

  • someone who recognize that listening is often more essential than talking

  • someone who puts forth the effort, hard work, and dedication throughout the entire process

  • someone has been on both sides of recruitment - PNM and a Recruiter

She is not…

  • someone who only wants to promote their chapter

  • someone who solely focuses on the social aspects of women fraternities

  • someone who wants to take anyway from a Pontenial New Memeber’s recruitment experience by reliving her own

What to know about your SRC

  • You will meet your SRC during Recruitment Kickoff on Wednesday, August 28th, 2024.

  • She is SO EXCITED to meet you! She has been training for this position for over 6 months and could not be happier to help guide during your Recruitment process.

  • Each SRC will have about 12-15 Potential New Members in her group.

  • Your SRC is a resource that is there for you all times! Whether you have a question about what to wear during rounds, how adjusting to life away from home, how to get to class, your SRC will be there for you before, during, and after Formal Recruitment.

  • Your SRC has dissociated from her chapter to be an unbiased source for you, please do not try to reveal her affliation before she tells you on Bid Day.

  • Your SRC was chosen out of a very competitive applicant pool. We love her and we hope you do too!
